Small intense but fun group training sessions allow for our personal trainers to help you get the most out of your gym session whilst still in a supportive and motivating group training environment. There is nothing like the energy and vibe from a group session and you have trainers on hand to hype you up, correct your form and push you to be your absolute best. No two workouts are the same and our talented team design your sessions for progression and to suit you. We don’t have a cookie cutter approach to anything!
HOW LONG DOES A CLASS LAST FOR?
45 minutes with the exception of our kids classes which are all 30 minutes.
I’M NEW TO THIS SO HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT TO DO?
When you arrive at the gym you will be greeted by staff who are happy to show you around and introduce you to new friends. It helps if you arrive a few minutes early so we can ask you some basic health questions. When the session starts your trainer will go over what to do and demonstrate for you each activity. Our members are also super supportive and will help you every step of the way. If you are not sure at any point then just ask your trainer to demonstrate again. They will be more than happy to help and if they see you struggling will be right beside you to assist you in getting the most out of your workout. Most of all don’t stress, we were all beginners once and some things can take a few goes until it feels natural. You will be fine.
I’M NOT SURE I CAN DO SOME OF THE EXERCISES BECAUSE OF FITNESS LEVELS OR INJURY
All exercises can be modified to suit whatever fitness level you are currently at or supplemented to suit your injury. Your trainer will monitor your progress and are trained to help you find what works for you.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR AND BRING?
You should wear whatever you feel comfortable moving around in. Preferably something that gives you good range of movement. Don’t feel pressured to buy the latest and greatest in workout wear as it is not a focus on aesthetics and more athletics. If it makes you feel good to wear picture perfect outfits then go right ahead or if you are comfy in shorts and a t-shirt that is fine too. Don’t forget to wear comfortable sneakers!
It is helpful if you bring your own workout towel and drink bottle. We do have towels and spare bottles if needed and a wonderful supply of chilled water available. Chilled lemon scented face cloths are just one of the many complimentary features of our gym. Other things that might be helpful if you would like to progress in power lifting are items such as weight lifting belt and lifting straps (we have these available on loan to members or for purchase if you wish to have your own set). Many of our clients prefer to bring their own boxing gloves and sparring pads but we have good quality sets for your use with washable liners and everything is sanitised and/or laundered after each session. In most cases however everything you need will be provided for you in each class and using your own is just a matter of preference.
WHY IS GROUP TRAINING SO EXPENSIVE?
Well to some it might seem expensive but essentially you are getting world class personal trainers focusing on you for a fraction of the cost. Generally a PT session will set you back between $50 and $80. You would need about 3 of these a week to maintain your fitness levels and easily expending $150 to $240, with group training you are sharing this cost with the other people in your class. Our membership is less than one PT session and you can have as many sessions a week as you can manage. The more classes you do the cheaper it works out per class. This covers insurance, rent, your trainer and their years of education and experience, the equipment and it’s cleaning and maintenance, utilities, appropriate industry affiliations and certifications, child care and it’s facilities as well as further education of staff to offer you the best. With us you also get something extra special that you won’t find at a lot of the big brand gyms… you get us. We will know you by name, we will care about your well being, we will be invested in your progress, we will walk with you on your journey, encourage you each day, hold you accountable when you falter and we will allow you to train in one of the largest boutique gyms in the area without having to share it with any one other than those limited numbers in your class. In addition to your training we also provide child minding, the latest in body composition scan analysis and all of our in house weight loss challenges to our unlimited clients with NO ADDITIONAL COSTS.
CAN I BRING MY KIDS?
We have our kids club minding service at 9:30am, and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Should you require child minding outside these times just message Kat and she will gladly watch your little ones while you train. Games, activities, toys, playstation, free arcade machine with thousands of games and homework desk are provided whilst children are supervised. Children must be signed in and out and we ask that you keep children off the gym workout areas during session times to avoid injury of participants or children. Teens are welcome to hang out on our comfy lounges if they wish or participate under your supervision.
DO YOU HAVE FREE PARKING?
Yes we have our own car park and if this should be full you can always park on the streets surrounding the gym or at the parkland just a few meters down the road.
